Vampire Knight and Vampire Knight Guilty

Plot (From Wikipedia):
Yuki Cross's earliest memory is of a snowy night in winter, when she was attacked by one vampire and was saved by another, Kaname Kuran. Yuki is the adopted daughter of the Headmaster of Cross Academy, Kaien Cross, who is an ex-vampire hunter that now wishes for vampires and humans to live alongside peacefully. She has grown up and become a prefect for the school with one main purpose: for vampires to coexist peacefully with humans. Her fellow guardian, Zero Kiryu, a childhood companion whose parents were killed by a pure-blood vampire, is now determined to kill them all and refuses to trust them. Zero himself is now manifesting vampire traits, having been turned into vampire after he was bitten by a pure-blood vampire, Shizuka Hio, four years before.

My Thoughts:
Vampire Knight is not an "action" type of anime. It was more of a drama. There were 2 seasons for this series: Vampire Knight and Vampire Knight Guilty. I did a marathon on both.

The plot was definitely good, more geared to towards late teens to early twenties if you ask me. Not a lot of "comedy" in the series which was fine for me. The setting was a little bit darker which I liked also. There were definitely some "Twilight" moments but the story was definitely very different.

I truly fell in love with this series and I honestly cannot wait for a season 3. It is still unsure if there will be a season 3 because I think the anime caught up with the manga so I think they may wait a little bit more so that more manga can be released.

The animation to me was pretty good. Like I said, there were no action sequences so not a lot to make a mistake on. The characters I loved. You will end up trying to take sides. This is by the way a love story so for those that do not like love stories, well this series is not really for you. The dubbed version has not come out so you will have to watched subbed version since this is a fairly new series in Japan. Sound quality and voice acting was great for me.

Overall, I am giving this series a 5 out 5. I am waiting for this to come out as a box set so I can add it to my collection.
