Claymore

Plot (From Wikipedia):
In a world where humans coexist with creatures called Yoma (妖魔?) sentient monsters that feed on human innards, a nameless and highly secretive organization has created an order of half-human, half-yoma warriors to protect humans from the yoma, for a large fee. The people of this world have dubbed these warriors as "Claymores" based on their gargantuan, unsheathed swords, or the "Silver Eye Witches", based on their appearance and seemingly cold nature toward others.

After the death of her motherly figure, Teresa, at the hand of Priscilla, Clare voluntarily joins the Organization to seek vengeance. In a small town terrorized by a yoma, she meets and befriends a kind-hearted, albeit naive, young man named Raki. This series follows their struggles.

My Thoughts:
I honestly did not want to watch this show. I am not too into "medieval" stuff so I actually almost overlooked Claymore. I was bored one day having done "vampire" marathons so I decided to start watching this. Man oh man, this was really really good. I ended up doing a marathon on this one too.

The only thing that I did not like about the series was I wished it was longer. I mean there was 26 episodes but I guess I needed more since at the end of the series it just seemed like they didn't really kill who they needed to kill. There is some speculation that a season 2 will come out but until it is formally announced I will just assume only 1 season.

The setting is also dark which I like. It can get quite violent but not "gory". The animation I think was superb. Sound quality and voice acting was really good too. The dubbed version is out. I am just waiting for them to put this in a box set so I can add it to my collection. Right now they are releasing by volumes.

Overall I give this a 5 out 5. I am definitely going to own this one.
