Plot (From ANN):At the beginning of the Edo Era, when people enjoyed a time of peace, Lord Tokugawa Tadanaga holds a fighting tournament. In the past, matches were fought with wooden swords. This time, real swords will be used. One-armed Fujiki Gennosuke and blind Irako Seigen will fight each other in this match. Both are disciples of Iwamoto Kogan, who is known as Japan's greatest swordsman. Each of them are determined to prove himself the successor of Iwamoto's school. However, there can only be one champion. So begins a story of intertwining fates, conflict, and strange destinies.
My Thoughts:
This series caught my attention. Like I said in my earlier posts, I like samurai type anime and this was heavily published as a bloody, gory samurai series. Well it starts and ends there. The plot should have been interesting but it was just too slow. I just could not keep my attention on this one. The animation, action and sound were really good but I just could not for the life of me continue watching the show. I give this a 2 out of 5. It may be something you want to watch but definitely not for me.
