Strait Jacket

Plot (From ANN):
It is a world where magic and science coexist. Rayotte Steinberg, a lone wolf "tactical sorcerist", fights against monsters. They used to be human beings, but they have overused forbidden power, magic, to turn into monsters. What he wears is "mold", the straitjacket that keeps him human. He carries an explosive magic wand. If he casts magic, he moves one step closer to being a monster. If he doesn't, he will be killed. Among the harsh battles, he will face a sin he committed in the past.

My Thoughts:
Ok, how do I start this one? Well let's start with my research. I found out that this movie was going to be aired in the Chiller network as part of the Ani-Monday block so I wanted to read some reviews before I recorded this to make sure that this was worth watching. Most, if not all of the reviews I read on this movie was pretty bad. So why did I still decide to record this? I have no clue.

As I started to watch the movie, I really did not have high hopes since the reviews have been pretty bad. I do have to honestly say that I did not think it was that bad. Granted the animation was pretty basic. There was really nothing that stands out. The dialogue was bland and the fight scenes even blander...if that is even a word. This was your typical "monster" anime with some weird mecha element and fantasy. I guess it would have been better if they did a little bit more background on the characters and let the characters grow on you but since this was a movie, there was definitely time constraints. Will I ever watch this again, more than likely not. Overall, I will give this a 1 out of 5. You can watch it if you want...maybe to pass some time...LOL.
