Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas

Plot (From ANN):
The Sacred war tale that took place during the 18th century is now unveiled. Tenma, Alone and Sasha, three orphans living their childhood protecting each other and then separated at diferent ages made a pact to meet again. Find themselves again connected but now in roles they never saw as posible. Pegasus, Hades and Athena. Its now time to fight but destiny can be bittersweet since the war between Athena and Hades forces can put old friends and families face to face.

My Thoughts So Far:
Before I start, I just wanted to give you a background on Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas. Saint Seiya is a franchise, kinda like Macross, Gundam and the like. Saint Seiya the Lost Canvas is supposedly the prologue to the Saint Seiya franchise. The weird thing about this is another person wrote Saint Seiya the Lost Canvas. He was part of the original series but decided to come out and create this. The funny thing is the original writer also came out with a prologue thing so who knows what will happen. Also, Saint Seiya the Lost Canvas is being released only as OVAs. I am not really sure why because Saint Seiya has been a very popular series. Maybe they are just testing the waters to see if people will still get into the series.

So far only 2 OVAs have been released and both are great! The animation, plot, music and voice acting were really good. Supposedly they are releasing another 2 OVAs this August and I cannot wait for them to come out. I am patiently waiting. LOL!

UPDATES:
8/27:I am sooooo happy that the fan subbed version for the third OVA has been fansubbed. I love..love...love this series. The third episode/OVA was really really good. Now I am waiting for the 4th OVA to be fan subbed. It aired already but not yet subbed. I just wish they just did this as a straight series because it is really really really good.
9/1: I was finally able to watch the fourth episode/OVA and it was good...very good. I love this series and I just can't wait until the next OVAs are out. The action is definitely starting to heat up and the characters are all getting to be very interesting.
11/12: Finally someone posted the two new episodes! WOOOHOOO! It is really starting to look very interesting. I honestly wish that the episodes are coming out more often but oh well. This was definitely worth the wait. I liked the new character that they focused on with this new set of OVAs.
1/3/2010: Ok finally more episodes!!!! YEY! Now, honestly, I am really starting to wish these guys just made this a straight series instead of OVAs in 2 month intervals coz this is really really good. I am starting to find somewhat of a pattern though but it is ok I will definitely not complain because when all is said and done this is really good. I am sounding like a broken record but you gotta see it to believe it. Now I just have to wait another 2 months! DAMMIT!
